Storm hits Assam: Ferries damaged, service between Guwahati and North Guwahati suspended

According to sources, ferries have suffered significant damage due to the rain and thunderstorms that have been raging in various parts of Guwahati since last evening. 

Ferry services between Guwahati and North Guwahati have been temporarily suspended because of the damages incurred to ferries due to the storm that lashed the city last evening.

According to sources, ferries have suffered significant damage due to the rain and thunderstorms that have been raging in various parts of Guwahati since last evening. 

Even the ramps used to board the ferries have been damaged. 

The ferry services will resume once the ramps are repaired, said sources.
