In a major development, the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council has announced installation of statues of Nilotpal Das and Abhijeet Nath at Panjuri village in Dokmoka where the two victims were lynched.
The council has also announced ex-gratia of Rs 5 lacs to families of both, assuring them of thorough probe and punishment of all found guilty as per strict provisions of law.
