SRK’s ‘Jawan’ to Karena’s ‘Jaane Jaan’, films to release in September 2023

Starring Shah Rukh Khan, Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi in the lead roles ‘Jawan’ is one of the most anticipated films.

From high-octane action thrillers to a light-hearted family drama, the month of September has a number of exciting movies coming up for the audience. So, if you are a movie buff and love to spend time watching interesting films, then surely there are many options.

Jawan

Starring Shah Rukh Khan, Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi in the lead roles ‘Jawan’ is one of the most anticipated films. The action thriller Pan-India film is all set to hit the theatres on September 7. The film is helmed by Atlee and will also feature Deepika Padukone in a guest appearance role. Reportedly, the makers will unveil the film’s official trailer on August 31 at the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, UAE.

Salaar – Part 1: Ceasefire

Directed by Prashanth Neel of KGF fame the Pan-India film stars Prabhas, Shruti Haasan and Prithviraj Sukumaran in the lead roles. The film promises to deliver a grandeur that has never been witnessed before on the big screen, with a staggering 14 massive sets constructed in and around Ramoji Film City. ‘Salaar’ is scheduled to hit theatres on September 28, in 5 languages including Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil, and Hindi.

The Great Indian Family

The upcoming family entertainer film stars Vicky Kaushal and Manushi Chillar in the lead roles and is all set to hit the theatres on September 22. The film is set in the heartland of India and will revolve around the madness that ensues within Vicky’s family due to some sudden developments that are beyond anyone’s control! The film is helmed by Vijay Krishna Acharya.

The Vaccine War

Helmed by Vivek Agnihotri, the film stars Nana Patekar, Anupam Kher, Raima Sen and Pallavi Joshi in the lead roles. The film is all set to hit the theatres on September 28. ‘The Vaccine War’ is likely to ‘open certain chapters about Indian bio-scientists and indigenous vaccines’. The film also pays tribute to the dedication of the medical fraternity and scientists during the uncertain times of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Jaane Jaan

Actor Kareena Kapoor Khan is all set to make her OTT debut with the upcoming thriller film ‘Jaane Jaan’ in which she will be seen alongside Jaideep Ahlawat and Vijay Varma. The film is all set to stream on the OTT platform Netflix from September 21 which is also Kareena’s birthday. Helmed by Sujoy Ghosh, the film is based in Kalimpong and is the official adaptation of the bestselling novel ‘Devotion of Suspect X’ by Keigo Higashino.
