Speeding truck claims 2 lives, 1 injured in Tripura

In a tragic incident, two persons were killed and one person was injured after they were hit by a speeding mini truck while they were standing by the side of the national highway in the Khowai district of Tripura.

The incident occurred in Pulinpur, under the Teliamura subdivision.

The victims rescued by the firefighters were rushed to the Teliamura hospital, where attending doctors declared the two persons as brought dead, while the injured one was referred to Govind Ballabh Pant (GBP) hospital in Agartala.

The deceased have been identified as Sakti Das and Sanjib Das, while the injured have been identified as Tinku Sarkar, a tom-tom driver.
