Six persons including two railway engineers were arrested by the Dibrugarh Railway Police for their alleged involvement in unlawful possession of railway properties.

According to sources, two senior section engineers under electrical division of Dibrugarh railway workshop, Partha Pratim Doley, Indrajeet Doley, contractor Manoj Gogoi, truck owner Durlav Gogoi, businessmen Sunil Harlalka and Vishal Harrlalka were arrested by the Railway Protection Force for their alleged involvement in stealing and unlawful possessing of 30 fresh heavy duty batteries.

The accused are being interrogated by the Railway Protection Force. As per sources, the main accused Akhtar Hussain is absconding.
