Six nurses from Meghalaya have successfully cleared the Singapore Nursing Board exam and have landed in Singapore to begin their careers. The initiative was made possible through the Meghalaya State Skill Development Society (MSSDS) in collaboration with the state government, aimed at empowering the youth and providing them with access to high-value income jobs on an international platform.
Chief Minister Conrad Sangma expressed his pride in this achievement, saying, “This is a testament to our commitment to ensuring that our youth break beyond conventional boundaries and secure opportunities globally. We expect more nurses from Meghalaya to reach Singapore in the coming weeks. All the best to them for their bright future ahead.”
With the growing demand for skilled healthcare professionals worldwide, such opportunities are not only a step towards individual success but also a boost to Meghalaya’s reputation as a source of skilled talent. The government plans to continue supporting similar programs to encourage young professionals from the state to aim for global opportunities.
