Sikkimey Nagarik Samaj Submits Memorandum to PMO and President on Sikkim’s Unresolved Issues

Sikkimey Nagarik Samaj, a civil society organization of Sikkim, submitted a memorandum to the Prime Minister’s Office and the President of India to take notice of the state’s unresolved issues

Sikkimey Nagarik Samaj, a civil society organization of Sikkim, submitted a memorandum to the Prime Minister’s Office and the President of India to take notice of the state’s unresolved issues ahead of the 50th statehood anniversary. They also sent the memorandum to key political parties such as BJP, Congress and the Communist Party of India to resolve issues that continue to impact the people of Sikkim. The key issues which were mentioned in the memorandum were the restoration of political rights of the Sikkimese Nepali Community, reservation of Assembly Seats for the Limboo-Tamang Communities as well as safeguarding of Article 371F and Sikkim’s Constitutional Autonomy.
