In line with the rest of the country, Sikkim’s Health Department in its daily Covid bulletin informed that vaccinations for 15-18 year old’s is scheduled to start from January 3, 2022 using Covaxin and current slot registrations will only be available on the CoWIN platform from the 1st of January.

Moreover, Booster doses for healthcare workers, frontline warriors and people aged 60 and above with co-morbidities will begin from the January 10.

Meanwhile, children in the age group of 15-18 years old are required to carry a school ID and a national ID card; people above 60 with co-morbidities are required to carry their latest medical prescription or reports.

Sikkim on Tuesday reported two cases of COVID-19 taking the tally to 32483.

The state currently has 53 active cases of the infection, while 31679 people who have been diagnosed with the virus have been discharged or recovered so far.
