Sikkim: Primula Bhandari, daughter of former Sikkim CM Nar Bahadur Bhandari joins BJP

Primula Bhandari has extended support to BJP state president DR Thapa's leadership and party candidate for Arithang assembly constituency, Udai Gurung.

With only 4 days left for the assembly and Lok Sabha elections in Sikkim, Primula Bhandari, the daughter of former Chief Minister of Sikkim, late Nar Bahadur Bhandari has joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today.

After joining the party, Primula Bhandari hoisted the party flag at her residence at Church Road this morning.

Bhandari has extended support to BJP state president DR Thapa’s leadership and party candidate for Arithang assembly constituency, Udai Gurung.

This move by Primula Bhandari is expected to have significant importance for the political landscape of Sikkim, especially given her family’s prominent legacy in the state’s politics.

Voting for the 32-member Sikkim Assembly and the lone Lok Sabha seat in the state will be held on April 19 and counting will take place on June 2.
