SKM’s Indra Hang Subba won the Sikkim Lok Sabha seat in 2019.

SIKKIM LOK SABHA ELECTIONS 2024 

14 candidates are in the fray but the key candidates are- 

  • Ruling SKM’s Indra Hang Subba. 35-year-old Subbais the sitting MP 
  • Opposition SDF has fielded former MP PD Rai. He won twice in 2009 and 2014 
  • Congress has fielded its president Gopal Chettri and BJP fielded Dinesh Chandra Nepal as its candidate.  
  • Citizen Action Party fielded its president Bharat Basnett 
  •  Sikkim Republican Party’s candidate Kharga Bahadur Rai 

Voter Turnout:  

 2024 – 80.03% 

2019 – 81.41% 

Number of Voters: 4.64 lakh 

RESULT 2019 –  

  • Winner – SKM’s Indra Hang Subba  
  • Votes polled 1,66,922
