Sikkim Krantikari Morcha (SKM) Holds First Parliamentary Board Meeting Ahead of Bye-Elections To Be Held on Nov 13

The Election Commission of India (ECI) on Tuesday announced November 13 as the date for by-polls for the two Assembly seats.
The Sikkim Krantikari Morcha (SKM) party’s Parliamentary Board convened its first preliminary meeting in Deorali, Gangtok, to discuss the upcoming Bye-Elections.
The meeting was chaired by Kunga Nima Lepcha and attended by board members Sonam Lama, Arun Kumar Upreti, Bhoj Raj Rai, and Nar Bahadur Dahal (Chettri).
The board expressed its gratitude to the Party President, Prem Singh Tamang (Golay), for their appointments to this important committee The meeting commenced with the members offering Khadas to the board chairman as a gesture of respect.
The focus of the meeting was on potential candidates for the upcoming Bye-Elections in the Soreng-Chakung and Namchi-Singhithang Assembly constituencies. Strategies for the party’s campaign were also formulated with suggestions that came from party workers.
Meanwhile, the Election Commission of India (ECI) on Tuesday announced November 13 as the date for by-polls for the two Assembly seats of Sikkim.
The committee plans to submit its report to the Party President, with the official candidate names to be announced shortly. The committee further urged all party workers to remain patient until the official candidates are declared and appealed to offer unanimous support for the party’s decision.
