The sensational murder of a Class 10 student in Guwahati has sent shockwaves across Assam.
A Class 10 student of Maharishi Vidya Mandir School located in Lal Mati area, has been allegedly murdered by a shopkeeper because he was unable to repay over Rs 90,000 that he had borrowed from the student.
However, more clarity into the matter is still awaited.
Initial inputs suggest that the accused identified as Abhishek Baruah, had been borrowing money from the deceased student.
Guwahati Police Commissioner Diganta Barah said, “The details will be revealed later. I am investigating the matter, now going for interrogation. After we analyse everything, we will be able to disclose everything. Our team since last night was engaged in collection of information and necessary evidences. Once investigation is complete, we will be able to share more details.”
The student had left home for school at 6 AM on Wednesday. However, before he could even board the bus, accused Abhishek arrived at the bus stand, made him sit on his bike, and drove him to his rented apartment at Bonda area.
Later, the accused asked the student to change his school uniform and wear a t-shirt.
He then took the student to the dense jungles in Amsing where he allegedly committed the cold-blooded murder.
