NDPP leader Sharingain Longkumer has been elected as the new Speaker of Nagaland Assembly.
Longkumer won the polls defeating his rival Imtiwapang Aier of NPF by securing 32 votes, which was held today.
Earlier, he was elected as the Deputy Speaker of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly in August last year.
The review meeting was attended by Chief Ministers of Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur and Tripura.
