In a major blow to the ruling Sikkim Democratic Front (SDF), party vice president and Deputy Speaker to the Sikkim Legislative Assembly, BS Panth quit the party today.
Panth gave up all forms of membership of the SDF. According to sources he is not likely to join any party at the moment and may even go ahead to form his own party in the state.
Panth who is a popular politician in Sikkim, has been a crucial member of the ruling SDF.
