Meghalaya Cabinet Minister and Chairperson of Roster Committee, Ampareen Lyngdoh said on Tuesday that the Search Committee is yet to shortlist the names of experts who will be part of the Experts Committee to review the Reservation Policy.
The Meghalaya Cabinet had on June 6 approved the setting up of a three-member Search Committee comprising of the Chief Secretary and one member each from the Law Department & Personnel Department to look for experts who will be part of the five-member expert committee to review the 1972 state reservation policy.

She also reiterated that an expert committee will be put in place to review the Reservation Policy and all political parties will be given adequate opportunity to present their observations before the committee.
The minister also maintained that as far as the implementation of the roster is concerned, there is a committee in place, and the various political parties’ doubts and suggestions can always be brought to the attention of the committee.
