The situation turned tense in Sikkim’s Namchi district following a violent clash clash between supporters of the Sikkim Krantikari Morcha (SKM) and the Sikkim Democratic Front (SDF) this afternoon.
The incident occurred when former Chief Minister and SDF Chief Pawan Chamling along with his supporters were heading to Sadam in South Sikkim.
One SDF supporter has sustained serious injuries in her head in the incident.

Meanwhile, it has been learnt that the SDF has filed a complaint with the police against SKM workers for the attack.
The police authorities informed that four vehicles belonging to SDF supporters have also been vandalized.
