A school in Churachandpur’s Mata village has been languishing without a Principal for over a month now, thereby causing substantial problems to the students and teachers.
The Vungzagen Higher Secondary School in Manipur’s Churachandpur district which has a student population of around 400-500 students from class 1 to class 12 has been facing various issues due to the lack of a school principal.
As per reports, after former principal Phulchand Meitei relinquished office more than a month ago the post has been lying vacant ever since.
And this has posed a challenge for the school with regard to students’ enrolment in class 11 in the Manipur state higher education board wherein a principal’s signature is required.
As per reports, teachers of the school have sent representatives to the concerned education department authorities making an appeal to appoint a principal soon but so far there has not been any positive response.
Talking to Northeast Live, teachers of the school made a fervent appeal to the education department authorities to take immediate steps to address the issue so that students do not have to suffer.
