With the Russia-Ukraine war entering its 13th day today, no headway is being made in terms of finding a solution through talks.

Russia and Ukraine engaged in the third round of talks on Monday which remained inconclusive.

Russia has declared another ceasefire today in the four cities of Kyiv, Kharkiv, Mariupol and Sumy and has also added the city of Chernihiv to the list to let the safe evacuation of foreigners.

The third round of talks were held in Belarus where Ukraine called upon Russia to stop the fighting and continue with the peace process to reach an amicable solution.

Earlier two meetings, Ukraine made similar appeals to Russia to stop the war but Russia has said that it is not possible unless Ukraine fulfils certain conditions in the first place.

Earlier, Russia also declared a ceasefire in the four cities of Kyiv, Kharkiv, Mariupol and Sumy to allow the stranded foreigners and civilians to move out to safety.

However, Ukraine has rejected the corridors proposed by Russia.

In the midst of the raging war, currently, more than 800 Indians are still stranded in war-torn Ukraine.

With Russia declaring a ceasefire for the second time for creating humanitarian corridors, hope has emerged for the stranded Indian students in Sumy.

However, the Ukrainian side’s refusal to the Russian ceasefire has put that initiative into uncertainty.
