Sikkim is gearing-up to host “Road Safety Awareness Week 2022” from today onwards. The rally with regards to the campaign will begin today and will culminate on April 23.

The rally is being held with the intent of raising awareness of unwanted road accidents and regulations to avert traffic offences.

This was announced during a press conference held yesterday in the presence of Deputy Inspector General of Police of Sikkim Police, Pravin Gurung, Superintendent of Police Gangtok Tenzing Loden Lepcha, Superintendent of Police Pakyong S.P. Yellasari and other top Sikkim Police personnel.

Today’s scheduled motorcycle rally will be the largest such rally ever in Sikkim.

It is worthy to note that “Road Safety Awareness Week 2022’ aims to educate citizens about road safety, measures and urge them to follow traffic rules.
