The most wanted poacher from Assam who was nabbed in Kerala has been handed over to Assam Police.
The poacher identified as Asmat alias Nalkok was formally handed to the Assam Police by the Kerala Police.
Ali was arrested by the Assam Police in association with the Kerala Police.
As per reports, Asmat was nabbed from Nilambur in Malappuram district where he was staying with migrant workers from Assam.
Asmat, who hails from Assam’s Biswanath district, is wanted for poaching of several rhinos over the years in the Kaziranga National Park and Tiger Reserve.
Assam Police had even announced a reward of Rs 2 lakhs to anyone who gives information on the most wanted poacher.
After this, Asmat had fled to Kerala for safety. This arrest is being seen as a major achievement by the Assam Police to nab all criminals by going the extra mile.
