In a big boost to infrastructural development in the Northeast. Chairperson of Reliance Foundation Nita Ambani said on Monday the Foundation will now take initiative to build the required infrastructure in the region, particularly ahead of the National Games to be held in Shillong in 2022.
Reliance Foundation would soon come up with a comprehensive plan to the upgradation of infrastructure in northeast. The Foundation would also work towards the betterment of sports and education in the region.
Talking to the media in Shillong, Nita Ambani said Reliance foundation will take all initiatives to help the Meghalaya Government in building infrastructure ahead of the National Games in Shillong in 2022.

Earlier in the day, Nita Ambani and owner of North East United FC John Abraham along with Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma kicked off the finals of the Reliance Foundation Youth Sports at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Shillong on Monday.
Later, Nita Ambani and John Abraham called on Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma at Pinewood hotel in the city.
Speaking to media persons at the JN Stadium in Shillong, the Northeast United FC owner John Abraham shared his thoughts ahead of the season opener.
