Major boost for cricket in North East, as BCCI is reportedly planning to include a team from the region to play Ranji Trophy.
Reportedly, the BCCI’s technical committee had earlier taken suggestions from the region during its meet last month on how to work this out. The technical committee is chaired by former captain of India Sourav Ganguly.
Under its New Area Development Programme, BCCI is reportedly likely to approve a team comprising players of 5 North Eastern States from Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Sikkim and Nagaland.
