Ram Temple consecration: Here is the list of celebs who have been invited

More than 7000 guests are expected to be invited to the ceremony.

As the nation gears up for the grand inauguration of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, preparations are well underway in various states to commemorate the occasion. More than 7000 guests are expected to be invited to the ceremony and here we take a look at the celebrities who have been invited so far to what is sure to be a grand affair.

Amitabh Bachchan

According to a report in The Indian Express, Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan whose career has spanned over 5 decades in the industry and who has starred in countless blockbusters is also among the invitees. Bachchan known for his deep voice has also been the host of the famous quiz show “Kaun Banega Crorepati”.

Rajinikanth

South-Indian film superstar Rajinikanth has also been invited. He was presented with the highest award in Indian cinema the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 2019 for his contribution to Indian cinema. In 2024 Rajinikanth is set to star in two movies Thalaivar 170 and Thalaivar 171.

Anupam Kher

Veteran actor Anupam Kher was among the first from the film industry to be invited for the consecration. Kher, in an interview with news outlet ANI had revealed that he would have attended the programme regardless.

Sachin Tendulkar

Legendary Indian former Cricketer Sachin Tendulkar has also been invited to the mega event, Times of India reports. Tendulkar holds the record for the most runs in Test and One-Day Cricket and has hit the most number of centuries in Tests.

Arun Govil

It is only fitting that the actor who played the role of Lord Ram in the famous TV show “Ramayana” has been invited to the occasion. After his breakthrough performance in “Ramayana” Govil went on to act in many other TV shows and films.

Deepika Chikhalia Topiwala

News outletBusiness Standard reported that the actress who potrayed the role Sita in the same TV show has also been invited to the event. After starring in other films and shows, recently, in August 2023, she turned TV producer with the show Dhartiputra Nandini.

Akshay Kumar

The “Khiladi” hitmaker who has been a long-term supporter of the Ram Temple project has been invited for its inauguration according to a report in the Hindustan Times. He had earlier called on his fans to donate for the construction of the temple and revealed that he himself has donated his share.

Virat Kohli

The Indian Express further reports that the spiritual successor to Sachin Tendulkar in Indian Cricket, Virat kohli has also been invited. Kohli has recently broken the most number of centuries hit in One-Dayers when he scored his 50th ODI century in the recently concluded Cricket World Cup.

Prabhas

The famous actor from South India, who recently potrayed Lord Ram in the film “Adipurush” is among those who have been invited, according to a report in The Times of India.

Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt

Celebrity couple Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt have also been invited to the event. The couple tied the knot on April 14, 2022 and are one of the most well-known faces of bollywood. The couple can be seen holding the invite in a picture which has been doing the rounds on the internet.

Kangana Ranaut

Outspoken actress and Padma Shri Kangana Ranaut shared an Instagram story in which she confirmed that she has been invited to the inauguration ceremony . She has received four National Film Awards and Five Filmfare awards. Earlier Ranaut had shared pictures of her visiting the under construction site.
