Biplab Kumar Deb also informed that 3.8 lakh new voters have been registered in the last five years in Tripura
Former Tripura Chief Minister and Rajya Sabha MP Biplab Kumar Deb on Friday exuded confidence that the BJP will get an absolute majority in the state.
He informed that females have voted in large numbers in this election, three percent more than men, held on February 16.
“In the 2023 elections, almost 90% people have voted. Females have voted in large numbers, they voted 3% more. This shows Modi led BJP government will be formed in the state” Biplab Kumar Deb said.
Deb also informed that 3.8 lakh new voters have been registered in the last five years in Tripura.
In an attack on the previous Left Front government, the MP said that the BJP-led government in Tripura had worked for all and the beneficiaries, unlike the previous Left Front, which was not chosen on the basis of political affiliation, and is confident that the BJP will return to power with an absolute majority.
“In the last five years, whatever work was given to the public, we didn’t work as one party or one cadre. We provided a home, water supply, electricity, and employment to everyone. Provided 33% reservation to the females,” Biplab Kumar Deb said.
Speaking on the women candidates from the BJP, the MP said that 12 female candidates from the BJP fought this election. He also said that on March 2, when the results of the elections will be declared, women and youth power will create new history in the state.
Meanwhile, he appealed to the public to maintain peace and harmony, especially after the counting, and urged the opposition leaders to stop intimidation, which led to violence among the common people.
