Reports are stating that BJP’s Pramod Sawant is most likely to be sworn in as the Goa Chief Minister.
Sawant is currently the speaker for the Goa legislative assembly. Sources are also pointing out that the new Chief Minister is likely to take oath today.
Manohar Parrikar’s death last evening has brought down the BJP numbers in the state assembly from 13 to 12. But along with allies, they still have 20 lawmakers in the assembly, where the majority mark is 19.
