Security forces have finally gunned down the mastermind of the horrific terror attack in Pulwama on February 14.
Abdul Rasheed Ghazi alias Kamran, a top commander of the Pakistan based terrorist outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed was the mastermind of the February 14 attack on CRPF Convoy. Kamran is said to be a close aide of Jaish chief Masood Azhar.
Meanwhile, 5 Army personnel, including a major-rank officer have been martyred in the massive encounter that is underway between militants and security forces in Pinglan area of Jammu and Kashmir’s ‘s Pulwama district.
The encounter broke out at 1 am on Monday after the Jaish-e-Mohammad militants fired upon the security forces.
The encounter broke out when, a joint team of Army’s 55 Rashtriya Rifles, CRPF and commando’s of Jammu and Kashmir’s Special Operations Group cordoned off the area, in the wee hours on Monday following inputs about the presence of some terrorists.
As the search operations were going on, the terrorists fired on the forces leading to a gunfight. During the encounter as many as 5 army personnel including a Major were martyred.
Those martyred on the spot were Major DS Dondial, Head Constable Saveh Ram, Sepoy Ajay Kumar and Sepoy Hari Singh. Sepoy Gulzar Mohammad, who was critically injured in the encounter succumbed to his injuries later at the Army’s 92 Base Hospital in Srinagar.
Two civilians were also killed in the encounter. The civilians were the owners of the house where the terrorists were reportedly holed up.
It has been just 4 days since the heinous attack on CRPF convoy in Pulwama, the Pakistan based terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed has dared again.
