Protest Erupts in Tripura as STGT Aspirants Demand Quick Recruitment Amid Teacher Shortage Scores of teaching aspirants who cleared the Selection Test for Graduate Teacher or STGT in 2022 staged a protest near the residence of Tripura Chief Minister ManikSaha today, demanding immediate recruitment. Carrying placards, the aspirants sought to meet the Chief Minister, who also holds the Education portfolio, urging him to expedite their appointment, citing the long delay since their qualification. The aspirants emphasized that the state’s schools are facing an acute shortage of teachers, affecting education quality and leading to poor student performance.
