Iconic singer and music composer Dwipen Baruah was conferred News Live Lifetime Achievement Award, while noted Assamese author and journalist Anuradha Sarma Pujari was honoured with the News Live Assamese of the Year Award for 2024 today.
The prestigious awards were presented at the first-ever Pride East Conclave 2025, held in Guwahati, marking a significant milestone-17 years of News Live, 7 years of Northeast Live, and 7 years of lifestyle magazine Aaina Jibonor.
Instituted by News Live, Assam’s leading Assamese news channel, these awards recognise two eminent personalities each year for their outstanding contributions to Assamese culture, literature, music, sports, and journalism.
Past recipients of these honours include luminaries such as Dr. Bhupen Hazarika, Arnab Goswami, Adil Hussain, Zubeen Garg, Angaraag Papon Mahanta, and Hima Das.
