Assam NRC Coordinator Prateek Hajela’s briefing to Home Ministry and Assam government officials on the usage of family tree in the NRC updation process concluded today.
Hajela’s briefing was attended by Attorney General Tushar Mehta, State Chief Secretary Aloke Kumar, State Commissioner L S Changsan, senior advocate and Congress leader Kapil Sibal and Assam Chief Minister’s legal advisor Santanu Bharali among others.
Meanwhile, talking to media after the presentation, Assam Chief Minister’s legal advisor Shantanu Bharali said that the presentation was largely on the technicalities of the NRC updation process and this would help them file an affidavit on October 30.
