Police seizes brown sugar worth Rs 5 lakh in Tripura’s Khowai district; 50 kg ganja seized from Rajdhani Express in Agartala

Police in Tripura’s Khowai district seized huge quantities of brown sugar in wee hours of Monday night. The operation was led by Additional Superintendent of Police of Khowai district Angadulal
Police in Tripura’s Khowai district seized huge quantities of brown sugar in wee hours of Monday night.
The operation was led by Additional Superintendent of Police of Khowai district Angadulal Debbarma and SDPO Anirvan Das.
The police conducted an operation where in huge amount of brown sugar worth Rupees 5 lakh was recovered from a vehicle. The recovered drug was sealed in packets and jars.
2 arrests have been made so far and the peddlers have been identified as Rajiv Debbarma and Yosseen Debbarma.
Meanwhile, a similar incident was reported from Tripura’s capital Agartala. A team of Railway Protection Force arrested one person and seized nearly 50 kg cannabis (ganja) from Rajdhani Express in Agartala.
The arrested person is identified as Lagan Kumar Sethi and another person travelling with him is absconding.
