Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma informed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to visit the state to inaugurate the National Institute of Fashion Technology new building besides attending a conference on water.

Talking to newsmen, the Chief Minister informed that the state government has requested Prime Minister Narendra Modi to come for the NIFT inauguration and also to attend a programme on water conference. He however said that although the response is positive but there is no confirmation yet.

Meanwhile, he also informed that the state is also expecting the visit of Union Home Minister Amit Shah to inaugurate the police academy at Ri-Bhoi District.
