In a concerning development in the frontier state, the Chera Talo District Hospital in Koloriang, which is the district headquarter of Kurung Kumey district, has been facing a serious lack of basic health care facilities. The hospital that solely caters to the health care needs of the whole district is totally ill-equipped on several fronts like man power, modern infrastructure and supply of medicines. As per hospital staff, most of the patients are referred to Itanagar for further treatment due to lack of amenities.
