Pema Khandu Govt 3.0 likely to be sworn in before Jun 12: Sources

On June 10, Pema Khandu is likely to be elected the leader of the BJP legislature party.

Pema Khandu, the Chief Minister-elect of Arunachal Pradesh is likely to be sworn-in for the fourth time as the CM either on June 11 or 12, reliable sources told Northeast Live.

“Pema Khandu is already in New Delhi to attend the swearing-in ceremony of Prime Minister Narendra Modi which is likely to happen either on June 8 or 9. Khandu will return to Itanagar after that. Once he is back the meeting of the BJP legislature party will take place most likely on June 10. There will be meetings with ally NPP. The swearing in of the new Government is likely to happen either on June 11 or 12,” one of the senior BJP party leader told Northeast Live.

BJP won 46 of the 60 Assembly seats in Arunachal Pradesh, 5 more than in 2019. The party had won 10 seats unopposed. Its allies NPP won 5 and PPA won 2 seats. Nationalist Congress Party won 3 seats. Congress managed to win just one seat and one seat (Khonsa) was won by Independent candidate Wanglam Sawin.
