In a tragic incident, a person died at Assam Medical College and Hospital in Dibrugarh due to alleged negligence of doctors and medical staff.
75-year-old Sidheswar Moran, a retired teacher and a resident of Kakopathar Bormesai in upper Assam’s Tinsukia district, died after doctors allegedly injected ‘B’ positive blood group instead of ‘O’ positive blood group after he was operated for a fracture in one of his legs.
The deceased’s family alleged that Moran died almost instantly after he was injected the wrong group of blood. Moran was admitted at AMCH on Wednesday.
Following Moran’s demise, family members lodged an FIR alleging medical negligence into the incident.
