Renowned singer Angaraag Papon Mahanta made his first public appearance in Guwahati yesterday since the infamous kissing controversy.

Talking to media on the sidelines of the event Papon supported Zubeen Garg in the recent controversy after BJP MLA Shiladitya Dev had stated that an artist should not indulge in politics on stage.

Papon said, an artist also has the freedom to speak on certain social issues and there is nothing wrong in Zubeen voicing his opinion.

Meanwhile, Papon also assured that people of Assam will soon get to see him on Bihu stages.
