Over 4000 persons stranded in the flashflood regions of North Sikkim evacuated

Almost all stranded tourists have been evacuated from the flashflood regions of North Sikkim in a combined operation of the Army, IAF, ITBP and the State administration.

Till sunday morning, around 4,353 persons including tourists, migrant workers and locals have been evacuated from North Sikkim after the Teesta River flashflood of October 4 early morning hours.
