Assam Rifles Jawan Alom Hussain, who received grievous injuries in the ambush at Aboi in Nagaland’s Mon district, succumbed to his injuries last night.

The jawan was under treatment at the IAF Hospital in Jorhat. The total number of security personnel killed in the ambush now rises to 3.

Meanwhile, last respects were paid to the martyrs of Assam Rifles late last night at Longchang village, who lost their lives in the recent attack that was jointly carried out by ULFA-I and NSCN-K cadres.
