Meghalaya: NPP reaching out to all parties including BJP for a merger

NPP's door is always open for all political parties who wish to merge with NPP said party's national Vice president Prestone Tynsong

Within hours of regional party PDF merging with NPP, the National People’s Party (NPP) in Meghalaya said that it has reached out to all the political parties including the BJP to merge with it, said NPP national Vice president and state Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong.

Speaking on the possibility of BJP merging with NPP, the NPP national Vice president said, “Whether it is possible or not, it is our duty to reach out to all political parties to merge with them.”

He further said that the door of the NPP is always open for all political parties who wish to merge with it.

It may be mentioned here that the regional party PDF yesterday merged with the NPP.

Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma welcomed MLAs of PDF, Banteidor Lyngdoh, Gavin M Mylliem and all the party supporters to NPP family and said, “The merger of the PDF to the NPP will also merge our collective mission for the State and its people.”

The merger PDF has increased the number of MLAs of NPP in Meghalaya to 28.

The merger between the PDF and NPP marks a turning point in the political landscape of the region, as these two parties, known for their shared perspectives and common objectives, unite their efforts to work towards the betterment of the people and the state.
