NPP Creates History in Meghalaya, Becomes Second Party to Secure 32 Seats in 60-Member Assembly

The ruling NPP in Meghalaya created history today by becoming only the second party in the state to have 32 members in the legislative assembly as Newly elected Gamnegre MLA Mehtab Chandee Sangma took oath. However, Despite securing absolute majority in the 60-member Legislative Assembly, Chief Minister and NPP Supremo, Conrad Sangma has reiterated the party’s commitment to the Meghalaya Democratic Alliance, emphasizing that there is no question of a political realignment.
