Manipur: NPP Chief Conrad Sangma drums up support for candidates

As a part of his four-day campaign in poll-bound Manipur, NPP National President Conrad Sangma is campaigning in Churachandpur district to drum up support for as many as six candidates

As a part of his four-day campaign in poll-bound Manipur, NPP National President Conrad Sangma is campaigning in Churachandpur district to drum up support for as many as six candidates in the district.

First of all, Sangma visited 60 Singngat assembly constituencies, where NPP candidate Khaibiaklian will be contesting. Sangma will also be visiting the Assembly constituencies of the remaining candidates in the district as well.

Earlier today, Sangma interacted with party supporters from the Oinam constituency, where NPP candidate Nalini Devi will be contesting.

It needs to be mentioned here that the NPP National President arrived in the state yesterday and released the final list of NPP candidates for the polls. Party tickets were handed out to nine candidates yesterday, including two sitting MLAs, Y Erabot Singh and M Rameswar Singh, from Wangkhei and Kakching constituencies. The two were denied BJP tickets and have defected to the NPP since.
