Dr De Silva explains: “We use software to measure the proportions of facial features such as the nose, eyes, and lips. These distances are then compared to the ideal proportions as dictated by the Golden Ratio.”

By digitally mapping the face, the software highlights key points such as the eyes, nose, and mouth, calculating how closely they align with this famous ratio. This technique not only serves as a fascinating exploration of beauty standards but also explains why certain faces are universally appealing.
