Assam reported a total of 6,897 fresh Covid cases in the last 24 hours. Out of these fresh cases, 1,561 cases have been reported from Kamrup Metropolitan District. With these fresh cases, Assam’s COVID positivity rate now stands at 12.13 percent. On this note, the active caseload of the state stands at 45,021.
What is more concerning is that the number of COVID-related deaths has also been increasing in the state. To be more precise, Assam today reported 15 fresh COVID-related deaths.
Meanwhile, a total of 2,979 patients were discharged after attaining full recovery. This results in a recovery rate of 92.31 percent.

Notably, Manipur reported a total of 578 fresh COVID cases in the last 24 hours, taking the active COVID tally in the state to 2,860. The positivity rate has also climbed to 19.3 percent in Manipur.
Moreover, the state reported 2 more COVID deaths in the last 24 hours, taking the death toll to 2,019. On the other hand, 100 patients recovered from the illness yesterday.
Meanwhile, Covid cases continue to spike in Tripura. The state reported 1,034 fresh cases in the last 24 hours, taking the active Covid tally in the state to 7,776. The positivity rate has also climbed, reaching 12.25 percent in Tripura.
Moreover, the state reported five more COVID deaths in the last 24 hours, taking the COVID death toll to 857. On the other hand, 872 patients recovered from the illness yesterday.
