‘No Speed Challans for Mohammed Siraj’: Delhi Police post

Indian cricketer Mohammed Siraj was the star of the show in the Asia Cup final, where he put on a dazzling performance against Sri Lanka.

He systematically took apart Sri Lanka’s batting lineup, earning praise from cricket fans and a cheering tweet from the Delhi Police’s social media team. The Delhi Police’s social media handle shared a message, on X, “no speed challans for Siraj today.”

It was their way of saying that Siraj’s speed on the field was top-notch and wouldn’t be challenged today. This tweet received a lot of love from social media users. In the final match of the Asia Cup 2023, Indian bowlers claimed their position on top. Mohammed Siraj claimed a remarkable six wickets, while Jasprit Bumrah and Hardik Pandya took one and three wickets.

Their efforts made the Asia Cup final a one-sided affair, with Sri Lanka managing to score only 50 runs before losing all their wickets. Mohammed Siraj achieved his first five-wicket haul in just 16 balls, making it the fastest in ODI cricket history. It occurred in the 4th over, where he dismissed Pathum Nissanka, Sadeera Samaraiwickrama, Charith Asalanka, and Dhananjaya De Silva.

Although the match had a delayed start due to rain, it was clear that India was on the path to victory. Captain Rohit Sharma and the Indian team put up a stellar performance, and the playing XI included Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, Ishan Kishan, Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, Washington Sundar, Jasprit Bumrah, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammed Siraj.

Sri Lanka, led by captain Dasun Shanaka, couldn’t withstand the relentless Indian bowling attack. In the end, it was a memorable victory for India in the Asia Cup 2023, and Mohammed Siraj’s outstanding performance left fans and even the Delhi Police celebrating.
