No poll alliance for BJP in Tripura yet: BJP state president Rajib Bhattacharjee

The state president said that talks with alliance partner IPFT are still, howver, BJP will announce its candidates list today from Delhi
Tripura BJP is contesting the forthcoming general assembly election in the state alone and shall be filing nominations for all 60 constituencies. This was informed by the party’s state president Rajib Bhattacharjee on his return to the state Friday late night from New Delhi along with other senior leaders.
He said that the final list of candidates have been finalized at the meeting of the central election committee and parliamentary committee held in New Delhi and will be announced today.
Speaking to Northeast Live at the MBB airport, he said that the BJP candidates list shall be declared on Saturday from Delhi.
He, however, claimed that talks are still on with the alliance partner IPFT and the talks with TIPRA Motha regarding alliance or seat sharing has failed.
Bhattacharjee added that the BJP candidates consist representatives from various committees including SC, ST, OBC, minority and women.
On the joining of a CPIM MLA Moboshar Ali and Trinamool former state president Subal Bhowmik, he said that the people of the state could not accept the Congress – CPIM alliance and many more leaders from these two parties are in touch with the BJP.
Other leaders who returned on Friday from New Delhi in a chartered flight are Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha, union MoS Pratima Bhowmik, Deputy CM Jishnu Dev Varma, former CM and MP Biplab Kumar Deb, organization secretary Phanindranath Sharma and BJP Tripura election incharge Dr Mahesh Sharma.
