With the significant dip in Covid-19 cases in Assam, the state government has decided to lift the night curfew and all the Covid-induced restrictions from February 15 onwards.
The announcements were made by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma at a press conference held at Janata Bhawan, Dispur this afternoon.
Although the government decided to lift the restrictions, Chief Minister Sarma highlighted that wearing of face masks will be mandatory for all, irrespective of any SOPs issued by the government.

Further, Chief Minister Sarma informed that movie halls will be operated with 100 per cent capacity for fully vaccinated persons.
Schools, Colleges and other educational institutions have also been allowed to open from February 15, and it is compulsory for students of Higher Secondary and HSLC to procure vaccine certificates.
It may be mentioned that earlier yesterday Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said that all coronavirus-induced restrictions will be lifted across the state if the Covid-19 situation does not deteriorate.
