The East Khasi Hills district administration has lifted night curfew from the entire district that was in force since the Shillong unrest on May 31.

Talking to newspersons, Meghalaya Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong said that the decision was taken after monitoring the situation for days.

However, a company of CRPF has been stationed in the Sweeper colony and a police outpost being set up in the area to monitor the situation round the clock.
