The North East Students’ Organisation (NESO) has strongly condemned the vandalism of the central office of the Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) in Kohima, Nagaland and demanded strict action against the perpetrators.

NESO urged the state government to take stringent measures to protect the well-being of the Naga people and also reiterated solidarity with NSF at this hour.

“NESO is deeply agitated and condemns the barbaric act of unknown perpetrators to vandalise the office of the Naga Students Federation (NSF) in the wee hours of the 27 May 2023 and calls upon the authorities to arrest the perpetrators of this heinous crime. The office that the NSF has been functioning for so many decades is not only an office building but has become part and parcel of the history of the Naga people,” said NESO in a statement.

Over the course of its more than 75-year journey, the NSF has faced and overcome many trials and challenges. The current situation is just another challenge that the NSF is facing, which the NESO is very confident that the NSF will be able to overcome soon, said NESO.

It may be mentioned here that the NSF office in Kohima was vandalised yesterday morning by unknown miscreants. According to inputs, around 8 shops and a hotel too were vandalised.
