NEEPCO issues alert to district administrations, to release water from Kopili dam reservoir

The North Eastern Electric Power Corporation Limited has issued alert to deputy commissioners of different districts in Assam that it will release water from the Kopili reservoir which is used to generate 50 MW power in the Khandong power station.

The authorities stated that incessant rainfall has led to more inflow of Kopili river water. Alert has been sent to the deputy commissioners of Dima Hasao, Nagaon, Morigaon, Hojai, Kamrup besides other districts.
