NEEPCO Contractual Workers Protest at Umrangso, Demand Memorandum of Service Implementation

Contractual employees of NEEPCO, Umrangso held a sit-in demonstration against their employers at the NEEPCO campus on Wednesday. The workers said that NEEPCO authorities failed to implement the clauses of the Memorandum Of Service even after several requests. The contractual employees said that they have been felt deprived since 2002 when the agreement was signed. They demand immediate implementation of the MoS and upgradation of working conditions.
