NE Gas project to be completed in 3 years: OIL CMD Utpal Bora

The Natural Gas Pipeline Grid connecting Guwahati to the other major North-Eastern states will be completed within a stipulated period of 3 years.

This was announced today by OIL India Chairman and MD Utpal Bora during a press meet in the city.

Five central oil PSUs namely IOCL, ONGC, GAIL, OIL and NRL have signed a joint venture agreement for executing the 1500-km gas grid project with an estimated cost of Rs 6000 crores.

Bora also said that CNG stations will be set up in Guwahati and its adjoining areas within 3 years.

Meanwhile, The OIL Chairman and MD also mentioned about the CSR activities undertaken by the PSU, especially the OIL super 30 where students belonging to BPL are given free coaching for competitive exams.
